Admission Process & Tuition for International Students

At Longbridge Academy Online, we welcome students from all educational backgrounds. Our admission process is straightforward and designed to assess each student's unique academic history:

Administrative Fee (Full-time): A one-time fee of $300 CAD

reviewing your previous school records

creating a new Ontario Student Record (OSR) for you or requesting the transfer of your existing OSR

locating your existing Ontario Education Number (OEN) or requesting one from the Ministry of Education if you don’t already have it

maintaining your records and preparing your Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) once all requirements are complete

basic guidance with course planning and documentation for post-secondary applications

Course Selection: Choose fully online OSSD courses that match your graduation plan and post-secondary goals. Our Guidance Team works with you to build a personalized course pathway and timeline, whether you are taking a single credit or completing your full diploma with Longbridge Academy Online.

Prerequisite Assessment: If you have already completed related courses at another Ontario or Canadian high school, we review your report cards and transcripts to confirm prerequisites and recommend the right level for each subject. This ensures you begin your online courses at the level that best fits your current skills and knowledge.
Equivalent Credit Assessment: For students working toward the OSSD

We transfer and record existing Ontario credits from other inspected schools so you keep the progress you’ve already made.

If you have coursework from out-of-province schools or recognized programs, we may grant equivalent credits where appropriate, so you don’t repeat learning you’ve already successfully completed.

For eligible mature students, we can use Prior Learning Assessment and Recognition (PLAR) to recognize relevant prior learning and outline exactly what remains to finish your diploma.​

Enrollment: Once your records have been reviewed, your credits and equivalencies are confirmed, and your course plan is approved, you complete the enrollment forms and tuition payment. We then activate your Longbridge Academy Online account so you can start your OSSD courses from home, anywhere in Ontario.
